Rep. Colin Allred | U.S. Senate | 2018
Born and raised in Dallas, Congressman Colin Allred played in the NFL for five seasons before sustaining a career-ending injury that opened the door for him to fulfill his other dream—becoming a civil rights attorney. After serving in President Obama's administration, Allred moved home to Dallas to run for Congress where he defeated an entrenched Republican incumbent and now represents the district where he grew up. He has focused on lowering the cost of health care and prescription drugs, investing in our transportation infrastructure, eliminating corruption, and fighting restrictive voter suppression laws. In Congress, Allred has served on the Transportation and Infrastructure and Foreign Affairs committees as well as The Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.
Now, Colin is running for U.S. Senate—to put Texans first and defeat Ted Cruz.
