Cait Conley | New York’s 17th District

Cait has answered the call to serve time and again for our country. She served for 16 years as an active duty Army officer, deploying overseas six times to keep America safe and hunt down the world’s most dangerous terrorists in places like Iraq and Afghanistan. During her time in service, Cait was awarded three Bronze Stars for, among other things, displaying “the highest degree of professionalism, sound judgment, and technical and tactical competence while conducting combat operations.”

Cait’s career as a public servant continued here at home, protecting and defending our security and democracy while serving as the Director of Counterterrorism on the National Security Council (which got her banned from Russia), then keeping our critical infrastructure secure while at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).

While at the White House and CISA, Cait worked directly with Congress on some of the most complicated threats facing our country to include writing and reviewing federal legislation addressing critical national security issues to keep American families safe. She also led efforts to strengthen the security and resilience of our nation’s critical infrastructure–from the water we drink, to the energy that powers our homes, to the election systems that underpin our democracy.
