Jessica Killin | Colorado’s 5th Congressional District

Jessica is a fourth-generation Coloradan, Army veteran, and former congressional chief of staff who has spent her career serving military families, protecting consumers, and helping government deliver results.

Raised by two public school teachers, Jessica learned the value of hard work and public service from an early age. She graduated from the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at the University of Tampa. Serving in Europe, Jessice took part in numerous peacekeeping and NATO expansion missions in the Balkans as a member of the US Army Military Police. After reaching the rank of Captain, she brought her experience to Capitol Hill, where she worked for two United States senators and USAA, advocating for service members, veterans, and military families.

Jessica then served as chief of staff to three members of Congress, overseeing legislative strategy, constituent services, budgets, and daily office operations. She later joined the White House as chief of staff to Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, managing an office focused on public service, small businesses, and access to justice.

Jessica holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tampa and a law degree from Georgetown University. It is her Colorado Springs upbringing and connection to the region’s community that drive her commitment to the district. Jessica believes Colorado families deserve a representative who will lower costs, defend reproductive freedoms, and put public service ahead of partisan politics.
