Maura Sullivan | New Hampshire’s 1st District

After devoting her adult life to service, Maura is excited to step up to serve again because the issues we are facing aren’t Democrat or Republican issues, they’re American issues. Maura is running for Congress because our country faces a crisis of leadership that puts our national and economic security at risk.

Both of Maura’s grandfathers fought in World War II, and her grandmothers were leaders in Jesuit education. Inspired by their example, Maura’s parents instilled in their children the value of service and raised them to be men and women for others.

Maura attended college at Northwestern on a ROTC scholarship and rose to the rank of Captain in the Marines, where she served overseas in Asia and in Fallujah, Iraq during the Iraq War. Maura was inspired by the brave young Americans she served alongside – selfless individuals from diverse backgrounds united around a common mission. It was in Fallujah where she and her fellow Marines experienced firsthand the repercussions of disastrous policy decisions and out-of-touch leadership in Washington.

Together, we can uphold our Democratic values and ensure that the voices of everyday Granite Staters are heard in Washington.
